One of Georgia’s three international airports is Kutaisi Airport (David the Builder International Airport). Located in western Georgia, this airport is 14 kilometers from the city of Kutaisi and 200 km from Tbilisi.

In 2012 Kutaisi Airport (qutaisis aeroporti) was renovated. In October 2022 the runway underwent a full-scale rehabilitation. The goal of the rehabilitation was passenger safety.

Flights from Kutaisi Airport fully resumed after the runway rehabilitation was completely finished. Kutaisi Airport can handle 4 aircraft and 600 passengers at the same time. The parking lot offers 24-hour service, where 124 cars can be parked.

The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizzair has operated in Georgia since 2012. Wizz Air operates flights only from Kutaisi Airport. Wizz Air is in first place for low-priced tickets and the number of flights operated.

Transport to Kutaisi International Airport

As we told you at the beginning of the article, the airport parking lot has 124 spaces and operates 24 hours. Keep in mind that the parking lot is paid, and prices differ depending on the type of car.

If you don’t have a car, you can reach the airport by special buses and minibuses, the services of which are offered by Omnibus Express and Georgian Bus.

The bus schedule toward the airport is aligned with the flight schedule. Tickets are booked online or by phone call.

At the airport you can also take a taxi, whose stand is at the airport exit.

The airport has ATMs of three banks

At Kopitnari International Airport you’ll find ATMs of Liberty Bank, Cartu Bank, and TBC Bank. You can use them at any time of the day or night.

Food and shops

Kutaisi Airport has a variety of food outlets and shops. All passengers can use them. Among the restaurants and shops there are both local and international brands, which gives passengers a choice.
